Each summer the West Chester-Union Township Historical Society hosts an archaeological dig on the grounds of what was once a former ice house near the Miami Erie Canal.  It is located near present-day Firebird Lane in West Chester.

Scouting groups and volunteers of all ages are always welcome and encouraged to come out and take part in this exciting hands-on experience!

With the generous support from the Community Foundation, the Historical Society hopes to continue this ongoing project for the enrichment of the entire community.
