West Chester ~ Union Township Historical Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of the rich heritage of West Chester (Union) Township.  It started out as an association of dedicated people in the mid-1970's who wished to preserve the area history, heritage and legacy. Our Society not only preserves our written history, but also preserves artifacts, historical photographs, newspapers and other invaluable treasures that tell a more complete story.

Today the group remains dedicated to the same causes and strives to serve the growing community at large. As West Chester Township continues to grow and create new history, a dedicated collection of volunteers and local historians hope to share what once was, what is and what might someday become with school children, families, businesses and visitors.

The Society's efforts include tours of historical structures, educational programming, field trips, research and archaeological endeavors.
